I tried to watch Obama speech last night. This guy is all cliche. He hit the usual, money is bad, socialism is good party line BS, but he sounded as caricature of a politician.

He was lauding Hillary and Billary and mentioned their political history including their first campaign in Texas.

Texas? This guy is geographically challenged. I don't think he could find Iraq on a map.

I was hoping it would remain neck-and-neck until the convention in Denver. That would've been quite an entertaining spectacle.

With Obama telling everyone what they want to hear, and people actually lapping it up, McCain doesn't stand a chance.

So, personally, I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our new high taxes, big government, socialist overlord.

Mrs. Clinton is making sounds like she want's to be on the ticket. Obama seems to be ignoring the subject. I can't imagine why he would want Hillary/Bill to be on his ticket. This could get interesting.

Obama is all about change. Hill/Bill is not change. I was seriously disappointed in Obama's speech. He completely suspends reality and these egg heads are lapping it up.

Obama describes some socialist utopia that has never existed anywhere on the planet. People are in for a reality check with this stooge. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

VICTORY! One step closer. My bet is that he takes a pass on Hillary for the VP seat... good political connections but too much baggage plus you can bet he has debts to pay to get as far as he has gotten.

If the election were held tomorrow he would win.

All the bumper stickers, tee-shirts, and silly cartoons won't matter.

Caroline Kennedy is on the VP search committee. I haven't heard she is a VP option. I think that would be a good choice for Obama though. It would bring in Hillary supporters without the Clinton baggage.

Obama hasn't had his liberal ideals exposed yet. Hillary couldn't campaign against them because she is just as liberal. So the campaign for the Democrat nomination was a battle about character and Obama barely squeaked by Hillary (a chracterless politician if there ever was one). The real campaign will start soon enough.

How can you support a racist? How can you support a sexist chauvinist? Does he get a pass since he's not white? Seriously, how do you reconcile it?

Anne Coulter actually makes a valid observation:

Words mean nothing to liberals. They say whatever will help advance their cause at the moment, switch talking points in a heartbeat, and then act indignant if anyone uses the exact same argument they were using five minutes ago.

When Gore won the popular vote in the 2000 election by half a percentage point, but lost the Electoral College -- or, for short, "the constitutionally prescribed method for choosing presidents" -- anyone who denied the sacred importance of the popular vote was either an idiot or a dangerous partisan.

But now Hillary has won the popular vote in a Democratic primary, while Obambi has won under the rules. In a spectacular turnabout, media commentators are heaping sarcasm on our plucky Hillary for imagining the "popular vote" has any relevance whatsoever.

[...]

nd yet every time Hillary breathes a word about her victory in the popular vote, TV hosts respond with sneering contempt at her gaucherie for even mentioning it. (Of course, if popularity mattered, networks like MSNBC wouldn't exist. That's a station that depends entirely on "superviewers.")

After nearly eight years of having to listen to liberals crow that Bush was "selected, not elected," this is a shocking about-face.

That might be true Mutt, but if it comes from Ann Coulter it is, by default, invalid.

Not a racist like nixon wasn't a crook.

"typical white person" + "bitter/guns/religion" + long time intimate member of hate-whitey church/reverand = RACIST

White guilt self-hatred is obviously very strong in you, "sweetie". <---another wholesome Obama quote

Oh yes, THE classic comeback that I've seen from racists over the years. *I'm* the one who's racist because I'm pointing out their racism. Obama was the one who made the racist remark, but it's *me* who's race baiting by pointing it out. LMAO.

I'm not saying you're a racist, yogisan, but you are *definitely* borrowing their language. Shame on you.
