Not sure what you're looking for here. You understand what a sliding scale of taxation is. Maybe you think that's unfair, then say that. There is a matter of ability to pay that goes into tax considerations, maybe you don't like that.

What you expecting, us people say it's a terrible thing for the person to have to pay a higher tax rates on the upper ends of their income? I don't object to it on my income. It's a bummer to see it coming out of pay checks, but I'm not expecting someone to give me a break so some other guy earning 20% of what I do will pick up the tab.”

hmmm, so under the 'fair' tax, revenues will pummet if everyone does that, leaving budget holes and a need to increase the 'fair tax' levels - good plan.
