“What are your plans I think the weather is going to be 13 for a high and 9 for the low which trail are you planning on doing?”

“There's no way I'd go out with those temps.”

“My plan so far is to camp near the old homesite on Axsom branch near the lake.”

“Come on windi all we need is a little heater”

“I have a heater come to think of it. I can't this weekend as much as I'd like to. Might be able to join for a day hike. I'll wait to see more details.”

“What's the plan for the hike?

My little sister has a dance competition in Indianapolis this weekend. Maybe I could come out for some cold torture and make it up to Indy to see her dance on Sunday afternoon.”

“My plan is to camp at the homesite (hopefully) out of the wind. From there maybe do some day-hiking up the hill across the cove to check out a bald eagle nest.”

“Howdy Otterbrett! Are you already headed for the trail?

Ductape, Coyote! I will be free tomorrow night! What about meeting up at peeper, or some place easy to get to in the dark? I wanna hike this weekend but need something close and easy.”

Change of plans. Looks like I'm going out with some friends to see a local band.

Some how I think camping would have been more fun, but I gotta get out and meet people.”

“We ending up camping at a site on the Mt. Carmel Fault due to its proximity to a spring, and hopefully out of the wind. In the cold. Very cold. .6 for the low according to the thermometer. No, I didn't freeze my ass off, and yes I still have it along with my appendages. A decent trip- I slept outside! No tent, just on the ground in my bag. Yes I stayed warm. Mostly. I did burrow down inside-my face got a wee bit cold. Luckily the wind died down, otherwise, I would've opted to sleep "inside". One of the coldest trips I've been on, but unfortunately, very little snow.”

How were the trails? Muddy?”

“No,the trails were definitely NOT muddy!”

“crispy, crunchy trails, huh?”

“Very crispy crunchy trails:-) No one at Blackwell either, surprisingly...”

“Hey Otterbrett, are you going back to the Deam for our trip next weekend? It would be a great chance to meet a whole boat load of us.”

“Doubt I can make it this weekend, but I'll be heading again soon, and I;ll let everyone know. In the meantime, I've got pics on Myspace.”

Everytime I've been at the Deam in cold weather Blackwell was empty. I guess horseback riders don't camp out much in the cold.”
