If you're from out of state the software won't allow you to participate.

As it should be.

Is there some way to offer support of the proposal?

UH HUH...ted, not being critical, but you (not you personally but the voters)are willing to turn SO much of the responsibility for your life over to Government in California...whats wrong with Mommy and Daddy deciding they cannot take care of that part of the house, and then locking the access off to it?

Marko, there you go again- Prez on-the girls made me buy a mazda 3.

XL, a study from 5 years back showed that California is the end destination of 80% of Imi and Illi-grants entering this country-go figure.

The solution is simple.
Raise the already high CA taxes or cut back spending.

Need to stop paying the fed and keep the money here. We would have more success than that thing a century and a half ago, HEHE.

You see, XL, Tilt is not intelligent, his post above is a great example of his usual pathological hate and anger. No substance, no facts, no debate, just foaming-at-the-mouth hate.

Well, maybe not All Republicans.... but that's the impression you get from reading this Backpacking board.

How's that for irony?

Never met an extractive industry or polluter they didn't want to deregulate.   Never heard of a wilderness they didn't want to open up to ATVs and snowmachines.   It's bizarre.

What will happen to the parks if they're closed? (serious question)

Perhaps they will be sold to private concerns and put off limits to those members of the public of limited means.

(serious posit)

Cliff, the Mazda 3 roomy...........or rheumy?

Nah, they just fence them off and don't maintain them. This won't be the first time they've closed parks but I can't see this really doing much to help the debt. Stupid legislators just voted themselves a raise as well. Sheesh. We gotta pay for that, dontcha know...

Tilt is right we Republicans actually have our own SECRET outdoor locations (along with out own special air to breath and water to drink)...(LOL)

Hey I wonder what effect it would have on the wetbacks if California did not have all the Sanctuary Cities?

No, that's not the solution... the solution is to get rid of the MILLIONS of illegal aliens who are KILLING our system, including healthcare, education, etc., and costing us BILLIONS of dollars to support when they PAY NOTHING to contribute!

Tilt, you disgust me beyond belief with your generalizations. Are you so Fking stupid that you can't appreciate that not everyone in your narrow little world fits into the same bucket? I am ridiculed A LOT because I oppose & fight against the ATV access here in Northern Sierra which is ruining some parts of my favorite hiking areas... I have posted numerous times here about that... can you PLEASE try to get your head out of you aZZ and understand that your over-generalizations make you look like a total & complete moron?

Cal is years advanced in the illigrant problem to any other states. Many of the employment practices have gone on for years and will be very hard to stop. Because the Fed could care less and takes so much tax money away from the state, things are getting out of control. Everyone whats what we grow, but want our tax money to support their own horrible conditions.

Another problem in Cal is we have , without exception , the worst reps in congress ever.

Okay I am at a bit of aloss here....you see that if illegals leave the wage demand (demand and supply this has GOT to piss off you lefties) will go up to possibly "living wages" ...but it means getting rid of a whole block of victims (wetbacks).....what is a liberal to do? (LOL)

Mr. Socialist Worker, I am not a lefty. I have never voted for any of these people that are sucking this state done the drain in fireman retirements and the other give away crap. I'm stating that California has fallen from the fourth biggest economy to the eighth in the world in a relatively short time in which the federal government has taken more than they have returned.

Yeah boy those lazy firefighters..I can see why you hate them. Un...shall we go over "entitlements" and some of the powerful lobbies running your state?

Shall we review city after city that has determined they are TOO GOOD to follow the normal society and are becoming the "leech Capitals" or the world? Shall we discuss the way California TREATS major business?

You have no idea of what I'm trying to say, do you? You just go off on your own anti socialist socialist rant that keeps passing these pages and pounding the WW2 history that has so little to do with the subject, but you take time to tell everyone they were asleep in their history classes.

I really think you have a ditto head indentification problem that makes you think you are Rush Limbaugh. He also accuses anyone that doesn't agree 100% with him of being a libby left winger blah blah. His listening skills are also racing to new lows also.

mis-information
“Gov. Schwartzenegger wants to close 48 state parks due to the budget crisis."

Actually he's not proposing closing the parks, what he's proposing is that, until the current budget crisis is addressed, that there be admission fees to these parks that be used to pay for their maintenance. He's trying to get the people who actually use the parks to pay for their upkeep.
