There is a wonderful short story by Ray Bradbury, I don't remember the title, but no human presence exists, but one automated computer telephone dialer continues to make calls.... It is both eeire, and humorous as Ray Bradbury often is.

sounds like the very first Twilight Zone.
The guy was all alone.

This show sounds so cool. if you go on the link and follow it to "can you survive?"

I saw that link and thought.. huh... the premise of the show is that no one survives so obviously the answer is "no"..... I did't bother to follow it.

Ray's done lots o funky stuff.

I was just trying to remember what movie it was (or Twilight Zone episode).... Some guys in a sub survive WWIII and pick up a intermittent signal.   They sail halfway across the Pacific and find a coke bottle tied to a window shade, hitting the key on a wireless setup.

Apocalyptic fiction certainly was prevalent after the Soviets got the bomb.

no I can not survive... if no one does... then obviously the question is moot.

If the title is "life After people".... (population 0), it kinda presupposes thar Ain't gonna be anyone left, including your own bad self..... so the answer to the question "Could you survive?"..... is 'no'       < VBG >

(In any event, nobody gets out of here alive, anyway.....)

I'm betting on the kudzu to eventually develop intelligence -----

they always said that cockroaches and Keith Richards would be the only ones to survive

I think they found a place that has had no humans in twenty years and you get to see how nature reclaimed the area. I think it is in Russia

Chernoble....

But the ancient ruins of Central and South America have been without habitation for longer than that. Nature will find a way. - Jurassic Park

Yes, the city of Pripyat near Chernobyl, evacuated after the accident..... (I wonder what the mice are like there --- if there are any)

Willie Nelson will never die either. He'll be around to eat the last cockroach and smoke the last roach.

It's Dick Clark that worries me when it comes to not dying. The best proof of cyborg technology I have ever seen...

for the record, the area around Chernobyl is not depopulated. true, it was evacuated and it is a off limits zone, but many people have moved back into the area to take advantage of the abundant wildlife.

I think they're going to replay it Wednesday..... 8pm EST(?)

I missed the first few minutes.   What did they postulate as a cause for the die-off?   Nouveau Plague?   Neutron bombs?   'Civil' nukes?
