I hear it should have the capability to use NG Topos. If it can get to the stage where it can do that then we're getting somewhere.

Think the new Magellan can do that but is a little buggy at the moment.

The National Geographic Topos offer some the best detail available - with the state series at 1:24,000. Most of the Garmin coverage in topo is at 1:100,000. They do have east and west national parks available at 1:24,000.

Using the National Geographic state series would enable to cover the entire US, (albeit at $100 per state) at good detail.

gps maps
I got a lowrance Ifinder for christmas and Ive seen alot of information for appalachian trail maps that you can download. Does anyone have any experience with or have any information that can help.
