“that's correct. I forget the name of the saloon, but they served food too, go figure, a saloon that serves food. I didn't know real live saloons served food, but this one did.

Actually, while in Leadville last april, we stopped at the saloon on Main Street around lunch time... It looked like a nice joint, old fashioned and all, wild west and such. We walked inside at the crack of noon and asked the dud(e) at the bar if they were serving lunch yet and he said, "we don't have food, THIS IS A SALOON!!" Oh, ummmm, ok. I never heard of that before. So we walked down the street and turned a corner and found another saloon and they did serve food. The lady that owned the place was really nice. She said that Doc Holiday drank at her saloon back in the day.

We drank some fine flat tires and other Colorado micro brews and had delishious bison burgers. Then we went off down the road and walked a mile or two down a dirt road and found a nice flat campsite next to a small meandering creek, next to a bog and set up camp below the base of Mt. Massive.

That Mt. Massive sure is massive, ask Roam and Pennsy.

“I drank at that same saloon....when I walked in I ask if they served food and the lady who owned the Bar said yes we do and our Buffalo Burgers are the best sellers... then she said Doc Holliday, and EarthNsky and his gang ate there too and left with some Flat tires.. so I knew this was the place for me.


I Took lots of pics there and have several of that lady who owns the bar.....
I ate there 3 times during my stay there.”
