The choice of VP will be more critical.” 1:46:17 PM 2/13/08 “it's like Barak's choice will be critical too.” 1:48:12 PM 2/13/08 “Maybe a death pool would be in order for McCain.” 1:58:14 PM 2/13/08 “We have a death pool on you TommyT. My date is coming up and I want to win.” 2:01:20 PM 2/13/08 “Shame on the Dems for not bringing forward better candidates. Barack is way too far left, and Hillary has so much baggage she is unelectable (I hope). The R's had some candidates the covered the sprectrum of conservative to moderate, and McCain was the clear choice. Like it or not, the moderate candidate won the R's, and a moderate candidate is a lot more likely to get elected in the general election. I'd vote for him any day over Barack and Billary. Can you imagine 8 more years of Billary in the white house. Then Chelsea would run, and the Billary family would rein for 24 years! Please say it ain't so!” 3:08:16 PM 2/13/08 “Bush 41 has endorsed...well that nails it for me....who else is running?” 12:01:24 PM 2/18/08 “They should hand it to him now. Forget the election, 2 thumbs up.” 1:07:15 PM 2/18/08 “Hell I am putting my feet in the air.” 1:34:14 PM 2/18/08 “Anybody who doesn't "get" amnesty is wrong for America in an enemy of the country in my book.” 2:13:50 PM 2/18/08 “"I believe my party has gone astray. I think the Democratic Party is a fine party, and I have no problems with it, in their views and their 3:25:49 PM 2/18/08 “Once again I have to vote for the lesser of two evils. I have to vote, but what is the point? Maybe I'll just vote for the Democrat, give em a landslide and see wht they do with it.” 6:22:43 PM 2/18/08 “Please No, bring back ,bring back, bring back my country to me.....so McCain wins in 2000, we don't lower taxes , but we send every american from 18 -64(his age at the time 64) to Iraq and they're all still there and gas in the US is $1.29., because everyone is in Iraq that can start a car except John, hail John! last edited: 2/18/08 7:41:44 PM” 7:36:17 PM 2/18/08 “I don't think the vast majority of America is listening to the morons who backed Bush anymore. The morons got exactly what they wanted in Bush, and now the country is in the #&%!$ter. In one more year, the reublicans will control nothing, maybe then the republican party will get control back from the morons/greedy facsists/fasco-christians & racists. I doubt it.” 11:58:40 AM 2/20/08 “morons/greedy facsists/fasco-christians & racists? what are you talking about buddha, you aren't in the Republican party and we don't want you in it. You're not even a christian, are you?” 12:04:23 PM 2/20/08 “...and now the country is in the #&%!$ter. Buddha Bear 1:58:40 PM 2/20/08 No it isn't.” 12:04:29 PM 2/20/08 “Buder drunk...you will ofcourse show us the evidence?” 12:16:01 PM 2/20/08 “simple math shows why Mccain has no chance in November. Just look at how many people are going out to vote democrat verse how many people are voting republican. More than twice the amount. Democrats are mobilized, energized and the republicans don't know what to do. In November we will see a landslide election and the victor will not be a republican!!! It will not be Mccain!!! He has no chance in hell.” 12:16:14 PM 2/20/08 “There is no hell, ergo he has a chance.” 12:18:07 PM 2/20/08 “Cool...I remember the last LANDSLIDE (LOL) remember CLINTON winning twice by fewer percentage of votes than Bush in the next two elections? Then we went on for 6 years to HAVE a run on Republicans....GO FOR IT!!!!” 12:19:42 PM 2/20/08 “he has no chance. Something drastic will have to happen in order for him to win at this point. Barack has more than twice the votes as all of the republican candidates combined. The pundits know this. The media knows this. The neoncon radio assmonkeys know this and Mccain knows this as well as the RNC. The RNC is shaking in its boots right now. Half of Mccain's own party doesn't even support him. He has no chance. last edited: 2/20/08 12:23:17 PM” 12:22:36 PM 2/20/08 “It's sad that so many gave their lives to stop the fascists and through their children's mis-use of the term we have now forgotten what fascism is. Fascism was spawned in the universities by the intellectuals. They believed in free health care and guaranteed jobs. They confiscated inherited wealth and spent vast sums on public education. They purged the church from public policy, promoted a new form of pagan spirituality, and inserted the authority of the state into every nook and cranny of daily life. The Nazis declared war on smoking, supported abortion, euthanasia, and gun control. They loathed the free market, provided generous pensions for the elderly, and maintained a strict racial quota system in their universities—where campus speech codes were all the rage. The Nazis led the world in organic farming and alternative medicine. No, American liberals are not genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order but based on their own platforms and positions it can't be denied that Democrats are the intellectual heirs of the fascists.” 12:27:23 PM 2/20/08 “There's a lot that can happen though. I wouldn't be writing him off just yet.” 12:27:57 PM 2/20/08 “It's sad that so many gave their lives to stop the fascists and through their children's mis-use of the term we have now forgotten what fascism is - it appears so.” 12:29:54 PM 2/20/08 “I'm not writing McCain off only because of the democrates historically documented capacity to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.” 12:31:32 PM 2/20/08 “LOL...if we get the Universal Health Care...I am already hooking up with some friends who are going to open up a "Private Hospital" in the Grand Bahamas. A short hop from Florida....LOL as the medical care gets rationed you will see the truly worthwhile patients being able to pay to get the right treatment. ENS...you may be a bit young to know that often people cross the line to vote in other elections (i.e. MCCain is assured...so vote against Shrillery)” 12:31:39 PM 2/20/08 “ENS, the republicans aren't voting in the primaries because their isn't any need to. Our selection for president has already been made. But don't worry, when it comes to choosing between McCain and either Obama or Hillary, we'll come out. Its been a long time since the dems have trotted out people as liberal as these two.” 12:38:09 PM 2/20/08 “Osama won Wisconsin by such a large volumne of votes because Rebublicans crossed over and voted for him instead of Hitler, I mean, Clinton. Conservatives would rather see Osama vs. McCain instead of Clinton. A very conserveative friend of mine said that is Clinton was to become the next Pres, he would kill his family and himself rather that live under her dictatorship.” 12:38:42 PM 2/20/08 “Conservatives would rather see Osama vs. McCain instead of Clinton. The latest polls have McCain beating Clinton (one by 12 pts), but losing to Obama. Of course, once Obama has to actually say something in his speeches in debates, we'll have a different story.” 12:40:36 PM 2/20/08 “I don't get all the "I'm leaving the U.S. if X wins" histrionics. If they are so irrational do us all a favor and leave now.” 12:41:23 PM 2/20/08 “Its been a long time since the dems have trotted out people as liberal as these two. - hyway Yep. http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/ "Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., was the most liberal senator in 2007"” 12:44:48 PM 2/20/08 “Whoever wins it won't be by a big margin. One area where I think Obama will have an advantage is at grass roots. Part of Bush's electroal success comes from being able to motivate people at a local level to get out and rally the vote. At the moment Obama seems to have the charisma to do this - I'm not sure that McCain's support runs deep enough within the Republican party for him to do the same.” 12:45:42 PM 2/20/08 “Right, right, right, right ....did I leave something out ?..............right, right, right..........no something isn't right, right, right, rite? Sorry ,trying to walk with a McCane. last edited: 2/20/08 12:49:40 PM” 12:45:43 PM 2/20/08 “I have absolutely NO faith in the American public to make the right choice. After eight year of being subjected to the buffoonery of the current dimwit, what are we to expect? Suddenly the American populous is going to have some sort of epiphany and make the right choice? You woulda thought that it was pretty freakin' clear FOUR YEARS AGO. I was totally dimayed and still am. Nope, I don't think this is a signed, sealed and delivered deal at all. McCain has his base and knows how to beat the fear the drum...and it's just starting up. People on the line who are thinking, "Geeze, I don't think I want 100 more years in Iraq," may be thinking, "Damn straight we need to stay over there," once the rhetoric is flying in full, far-flung form. It's probably no surprise to anyone that I want the Republican party OUT and will vote to make that happen. However, I do have my reservations about Obama and all the rallying around the fresh face. Change doesn't happen overnight, as much as we would like it to.” 12:51:25 PM 2/20/08 “McCain has his base and knows how to beat the fear the drum His base is moderates and independents. Not the hardcore right. Vets and servicemen support him, probably has more to do with his service vs politics.” 12:55:07 PM 2/20/08 “"Barack has more than twice the votes as all of the republican candidates combined. The pundits know this. The media knows this." EarthNsky 11:22:36 AM 2/20/08 Primary votes mean nothing, nada, zilch, zip, zero. Go try to find a correlation between Primary votes and General election, you won't find any. Al Gore had thousands more votes than Bush in the 2000 Alabama primary for instance, but would anyone have given Gore any chance of beating Bush in Alabama? Of course not. Obama had almost 100,000 more votes than McCain in this year's Alabama primary. If you think that Obama is going to take Alabama you need to be committed to an institution. It's not going to happen. Just one example, but it shows, there's absolutely no correlation.” 12:55:23 PM 2/20/08 “That's what Goebbels did, eh, WK? Call the police.” 12:56:34 PM 2/20/08 “LOL...Rosey great sentiment...sadly there is not a whole lot of difference between the "Republicans and the Dems" with the slight exception of National Security. Nah the best we can hope for if any of these three clowns get in is that the next attack won't kill a whole lot of people who are producers of society.” 12:57:39 PM 2/20/08 “Exactly right Tilt. He was very drunk when he said this so I doubt he was serious.” 1:17:40 PM 2/20/08 “When reps choose the dems and dems the reps-that's when Superdelegate vs. Bonusdelegates will save us from a fate worse than democracy. Put them all once on the ballot, vote 1-10. If I have to ,I will say it again and again. last edited: 2/20/08 1:26:09 PM” 1:17:42 PM 2/20/08 “~scratches head and frowns~” 1:18:50 PM 2/20/08 “Either way.... Not good!” 1:22:25 PM 2/20/08 “It's ok all these people saying it will come good for McCain and everything will be ok, but if the Republicans don't realize and accept they have some significant problems to overcome then it will be the most one-sided results there has been in many years.” 1:35:51 PM 2/20/08 “-2” 1:51:18 PM 2/20/08 “Y2 I think McCain is proof that many Reps recognize that change is needed and that is precisely why he will be the nominee.” 1:56:14 PM 2/20/08 “birch, you may not be hooked in but McCain is running for President because there is EVER possibility he would NEVER be elected to the Senate again. He is despised for McCain Feingold (which he set up programs to dodge the laws), his support of the Wetback amnesty program etc have angered the base. What you do not understand is McCain has as stinky a political past as Shrillery...you can bet as soon as the Demo is selected the stories will start flowing like the sludge from an open sewer. Trust me the media will gang up on him in no time...they just want him in there to shoot down. Remember for the past 14 years the media has been livid that American Voters did NOT listen to them and elect who they "The Lamestream Media" told us to....they now want to make it a no chance scenario” XL400236 1:57:13 PM 2/20/08 I think this is proof that some don't. A lot of your extremist bunch like this one listen to too much talk radio, and this is the result. Consequenly some of the most politically motovated people in the party, the ones who'll listen to idiots like Rush all day, won't be lending much if any practical support.” 2:03:39 PM 2/20/08 Hey HPM “I'll discuss this with you! I don't lnow what your source is for your following post: No, American liberals are not genocidal maniacs, intent on conquering the world and imposing a new racial order but based on their own platforms and positions it can't be denied that Democrats are the intellectual heirs of the fascists.” humanpackmule 1:27:23 PM 2/20/08 I do know, through collegiate course study, and study of primary sources that the polity of fascism is very similar to the plat form of the republican party. Like many people, you use a source that ties fascism with Hitler killing jews. My comparison is not on that level, but more on the political ideal level. Further, my comparison is not tied to just one example (ie, Germany), but to all the examples of this polity throughout history (ie, Spain, Italy, etc.) Let's take the definition of the term. "Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers the individual subordinate to the interests of the state, party or society as a whole. Fascists seek to forge a type of national unity, usually based on (but not limited to) ethnic, cultural, racial, religious attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: patriotism, nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, autocracy and opposition to political and economic liberalism.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]" Note the many similarities of ideals between the republican party and the fascist party, including, but not limited to: 1. National Unity based on ethnic attributes. The republican party and thier constituents are those who want to round up mexicans and ship them out. 2. National Unity based on cultural attributes. The republican party and thier voters frequently bash and demean the gay and lesbian community, fighting to exclude thier rights, in order to gain party unity. 3. National Unity based on racial attributes - Rush Limbaugh, Trent Lott, etc., etc. Look at the supporters of the RNC, the vast majority are homogenous whitebread men. 4. National Unity based on religiuis attributes - Uh, christianity. The fact that the Axis of Idiots has to keep emphasizing the "Heussein" in Barak Obama's name is evidence of this. 5. the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: patriotism, nationalism, statism, militarism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, corporatism, populism, collectivism, autocracy and opposition to political and economic liberalism. - HPM, there is no need for an explanation here. The republicans try to redefine this term/polity just like they try to redefine everything else (ie, global warming). Fascism entails the above traits, plain and simple. These traits are defined by SCHOLARS, and the creators of the polity themselves, not Rush Limbaugh, and other spinsters. The above, combined with the fact that blue-blood republicans of the 20's and 30's supported Nazi Germany in business, and ideology, and thier attempted overthow of Roosavelt in the 30's is clear veidence that the Republican Party, and many of thier voters, have many, many fascist ideals. The theory that fascism is anything like the DNC is pure fiction. I haven't forgotten what fascism is, I just took the opportunity that my grandfathers (WWII), and dad (Vietnam) presented to me by going to college and studying primary resources and leading scholars. Good thing they all had good-paying union jobs to help me afford to go to school. last edited: 2/20/08 2:24:01 PM” 2:18:33 PM 2/20/08 “Got to throw in the fear factor. MyCane has one strong attribute that's not vulnerable- his imagined tough on terror and occupation continuation promises. Pakistan is being set up ,as Afghanistan was a set up for Iraq-Iraq will lead to Pakistan as the new,'Don't rock the boat in troubled waters' reason MyCane should be our fearless leader. The Military Industrial complex has it going and their not about to let good times go down the same toilet as the US economy. Iran had to be replaced and Pakistan has all they needed and more- nukes that already work? last edited: 2/20/08 2:31:27 PM” 2:28:46 PM 2/20/08 “"Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers the individual subordinate to the interests of the state, party or society as a whole. The individual is subordinate to the needs of the union - their is no idividualism. If you are told to strike, you strike. You are told what you will earn, can't perform tasks outside your union negotiated dutes, can't negotiate for yourself, etc. Unions seek to forge a type of national unity, but instead of being based on ethnic, cultural, racial, religious attributes (although very few minorities rise to power in Unions) they are based on a job description. Not to mention the fact that Unions mimic the violent nature of many fascist states.” 2:48:18 PM 2/20/08 “Yeah, just like a union.” 3:00:49 PM 2/20/08 Jump to Page << prev
