Colorado in MarchView MessagesViewing posts 1 to 8 of 8 messages posted.
“My wife and I are thinking about a week-long trip to Colorado this March. I have been granted permission ( Any suggestions? I assume that many areas are out of the question due to the time of year (snow), but have no idea. TIA” 6:03:18 PM 2/17/08 “The high country will still have snow, but you can rent snowshoes cheap from REI or some local shops in the mountains. What area will you be in?” 8:13:09 PM 2/17/08 “Hey Chin! I'd love to do dinner with you and your wife while you're in town if you have time. Drop me a note if'n you're interested?” 8:19:26 PM 2/17/08 “Thanks for the offer. I'm getting the idea that CO in March is not such a good idea for one that does not want to use snowshoes. Now I'm thinking VA somewhere. Actually anything within a day's drive is in play.” 8:29:35 PM 2/17/08 “lol... Yeah, I hear that March is one of CO's snowiest months. ;) I'm not sure it can get much snowier in the mountains. }:) Good luck with your trip planning. VA is really nice too. Think of Grayson Highlands. :)” 8:56:02 PM 2/17/08 “Colorado get more snow in March than any other month. It also gets a buttload of Texans on spring break - skiing, not backpacking.” 2:40:51 PM 2/18/08 “yo CHINy Chin Chin...How about the North Fork Mt trail in March?” 3:46:00 PM 2/18/08 “Ugh! Texans.... :-)” 5:11:37 PM 2/18/08
