Skunky pack

“I went to black dome in Asheville N.C I had called looking for a new pack for a good price. They had a closeout on a low alpine special expedition 70+15 wasnt exactly what I wanted but I drove over and checked it out. I looked the pack over and thought for the price it was worth it (orignal $300 bought for $150) I liked some of the features alot except I had wanted a little more room because I usually camp during colder weather and usually carry extra gear than some. But anyways I get home with the pack and look it over more and load it with some gear. About two days later I notice this horrible smell in my house it smelled like a skunk had broken in and sprayed the walls. See I was sick when I bought the pack and couldnt smell a thing. I took the pack back to exchange for another one they brought it out of the wrapper seemed ok until I opened the main compartent and same thing all over. Not sure if it was the material or maybe glue. So got what I have wanted for a while a new arcteryx and left satisfied. anyone else have a similar experiance or am I the unlucky one of one.”

“That happened with a bag Kamper bought. It smelled like wet dog from day one.”

“yeah their kinda steep but the price I paid for the teryx was about the same as I could find online. The only thing I didnt like was surely these guys had smelled this thing my neighbors could have, and on the second trip they could have at least gave me a small discount since I drove 40 minutes each way to their store. It was though the last time I go”

“I've shoped at Black Dome a few times over the years and didn't really care for their customer service. They weren't rude just not nice.Next time go over to Diamond Brand Sports and The Frugal Backpacker in Arden.By the way where are you located?”

“Im in Waynesville. Im originaly from Indian Creek in Balsam Grove and yeah I know what you mean about the cs there were 4 guys working and 1 seemed sincere about helping me the rest seemed kind of irritated at having to do anything”
