I decided to hike at a near by county park, where there is a secret over grown hike I think I'm the only one who knows about it. Anyway, I wanted to take this trail but to get to that trail was impossible today as the floods during winter that had iced over, had taken out good sections of the trail. parts were cross-able, others, I tried but the ice was rotten and thin and I broke through. So, I had to make it a very short hike, and went to check out my secret wild apple trees which had been demolished this winter, by a band of thieving rampaging beavers! I guess that's nature eh?
At least I know that I think my ankle could hold up to a light pack load and short miles, though it felt a bit strained just trying to hike through the ice. I need to work up to it more :).

Tomorrow, I hit some fens in the dunes, maybe I will have better luck!

If you are the ONLY one who knows about that place why/how is there a trail there?

its over grown, forgotten. Its not even in the park maps.

It takes you through woods, along a river, under old rr crossings, along farmers fields....I haven't yet found the end of it LOL But its HARD to find.

Ruby, The park itself is not that fabolous, but you have to look around to find some good things. I go there because it's very close--- Deep river county park! Its the best spot around to go berry picking too for mulberries and raspberries :)
