NON PRIVATE TRIPS UPDATE !

“Okay this thread is for all those out there on trail Talk who has never been invited to a Private Trip.
If I am the only one who is going to post on this thread, then I am going to be pissed , meaning I am the only one, and if no one posts I am switching over to my other personality, FRIDGY.”

“I've been to two I think, and I authored one other because of a size limitation on the trail of 6 people...other than that I'm all about public trips but wouldn't mind being invited to more private trips in IN, OH, and WV if there are any secret ones out there. Fridgy, I saw your invite for a WV trip in March, gonna be in Texas that weekend getting a tan, haha! ;-) No snow for me ;-)”

“i host a few private trips each year -but- it's because of the limit on the permits -and- i always make the trip public afterwards so people can look at the trip page and private threads if they want to use it as a guide for a similar trip. the trip pages of past trips are really handy at times. do other people use them?”

“Private trips are for exactly what they are intended for. There is another type of trip out there that goes beyond private.....I haven't gone on one but am thinking I might pending how much clothing I can leave on! If it's a total take off then I may sign up and bail at the last minute only to gather all info on location and times,and sneak a peek along the trail without them knowing.

This trip has been going on now for 3 years and I cannot give specifics on who started it but it sure as heck is exciting light weight.

I got the skinny on location though..Mt Rogers area and it not along the areas everyone goes. No I am not the one who started this trip and I have yet to be on one although I have been invited 3 times. I have no idea who all goes either. No Trip page, just an e mail from a TT'er with a set of rules why no one knows who is going and I know I have just told evryone out there I am one of the asked to participate ones and may not get another invitation but I cannot give away the trip leader.”
