So my boss has a huge costume party where everyone bets on the winners and generally has too much good food & drink. Y'all doin anything? Any predictions?

I haven't paid attention to the Oscars in a few years. I might watch it for a little while tonight though.

I haven't seen the first oscar nominated film. It is fun to get together with everyone though. All the people there are serious film nerds.

I will probably watch the opening monolouge because John Stewart is hosting. Then I will switch channels.

It is painful watching both preshows. Ryan Seacrest and the the other two Joey and Lisa are too dumb to actually have an intelligent conversation to any of the 'stars'. I miss Joan Rivers.

I haven't followed the Oscars for over 30 years...jeeze I'm old!!!....I just read/hear or watch the news the next day and see who won what. And if I happen to not find out who won....no big loss.

The Oscars rarely match the hype. I did't watch this year.

Totally missed watching last night. We were having a bit of a war with Laurel all evening.

Jon Stewart was the best thing by far about the Oscars. Glad to see the Coen brothers do well.

The Oscars are a great way to get a list of movies NOT to see. To win an Oscar you have to have a movie with great acting, probably shot on location, and the plot has to be something about good people being hurt or killed for no good reason. Having a psychopathic killer helps. Having gay cowboys in tormented relationships helps. When you leave the theater you have to feel depressed. I can live without those movies.

The best movie I have seen in quite a while is "The World's Fastest Indian", followed by "School of Rock" and "Mystery Men." I doubt those got any Oscars.

Did Laurel win?

As with most things I'll let the historians decide that.
