I got a new job and they are cool with me taking the time off to do this trip less than two weeks into the new job.

Is there a close hotel near where we will be meeting. I think I might be coming up Thursday?

Second. My kids would like to try and do some blueberry picking and I hear Michagan is known for its blueberrys. Anybody know of any spots near where we will be to do some picking. We could do that on Thursday once we get up there.”

It looks like South Haven has a blueberry festival that starts the 7th. South Haven is considerable south of Luddington but you'll pass it on your way up.

Emma and Lily are very excited. This will be the first time I have been in Michigan. Emma says "Hi" to the group. (she is watching me type) Emma says "me and Lily have never been to Michigan and am hoping to have fun.”

We're on the "maybe" list, too. Someone in HR effed up HPM's start date, so he's still in a holding pattern. Me taking Laurel up there by myself would be a bit of a sucky trip imo.”

“she's doing much better than my wife and i...she was in a great mood the whole time we were there, even after surgury...4 nights sleeping on a recliner can really get to you...being in a children's hospital really puts things in perspective though...most of the kids had much worse issues than we do...makes me feel bad for complaining

“I just did a tally. Judging by the sign up we're at 6 kids and 6 adults, maybe 7 of each if HiknMachine comes. We are going to have a delightfully easy time finding a campsite big enough!

Just checked the weather. It looks great! Highs in the high seventies and only a 20% change of T-storms.
