Spring Photos

“We enjoyed fall photos and winter photos..it is only appropriate we have a spring photo thread.

I was so excited to find my first wildflower of 2008 today. The hubby and I went out wondering today and took a short walk at Eva Chandler Preserve not far from Ceasars Head.

Snowed most of the day here. :)

Of course it was about 70 in Denver yesterday, but only in the high 30's in Crested Butte.”

WW, where did you take these?”

“The purpulish/blue ones are called "Dicks" I beleave.

Yeah those are Poppies, Fiddle Necks & Blue Dicks....LOL! what a name.

These were taken about 5 miles north of me, the lower foothills are exploding with color this year.”

That means SUMMER is not far behind...time to get ready for those trips with the G/F to the beach.”

“Guess I need to head up to table mountain soon. The flowers there usually look like the ww pics. Probably early this year due to the nice warm sunshine we've been having.”

Maple...nah....I mostly work in town...but I can see the hills from town while I'm working.
It's about a 30 minute drive from my house to this scene.

“Well, we did hike 1.5 miles to go fishing last Saturday. Found this huge patch of Mustard flower (I think). Pretty impressive.

“Nice flowers!! you are way ahead of us for spring flowers. Lucky you. We were camping in 4 feet of snow last weekend, but that was up in the mountains.”

]Not sure of the 'kind' of Camillia. It was here 19 years ago when we moved in.

The second photo is a 'Decorative Pear' tree.
Makes an awesome fall color photo as well.”
