Mudhole, I'm not wearing my bifocals so I thought your thread was titled "I want Spitzer". My first thought was, "Well, I guess that's how he got his trailname". Lol.

spring is here in SoCal. my Liquid Amber has leaves, the temps are in the 70's, the birds are "doing it", the Mocking Birds are singing at night.

There's still almost 2' of snow still on the ground. It's not spring yet.

It's 45 here, the warmest in months. Snow is rapidly melting and there's a big bonfire raging on the east lawn as my deconstruction residue is consumed. Around here there's no guarantee of spring until sometime in May. We were lucky last year with no snow after the end of March.

I can't imagine planting one of those - yeah they look nice in the fall but those dang gum balls are a btch to step on. Around here they are called Sweet Gum.

Two degrees here this morning. The days have been getting up into the mid 30s. Garage door freezes shut almost every night. I still have 7 feet of snow on the sides of the driveway and in the front yard and a good 2 feet still in the woods. Mud season can't be very far away.

you might not like them, but they provide wonderfully cool shade on my porch and house during the hot summer months, what's a few ouchy balls up against that. btw, sweet gum trees are different.

Drop-dead perfect here in Northern CA! Everything's blossoming which I love, high temps are a perfect 68 degrees, go running with my doggie along the river every day that I can, but if I want can drive 45 minutes away & be snowshoeing in the mountains! :)

I LOOOVE it here!

Absolutely beautiful day here in Virginia. Sunny and a tad bit cool, just the way I like it. Crocuses and daffodils are blooming. The pear tree blossoms are about to burst. Makes me want to play hookie tomorrow.

It's been spring off and on here for weeks (Tejas). Last week we got 7" of snow. I pitched my tent next to a patch of snow Saturday as a bunch of us did an overnight river float. It was mostly spring weather and a couple of trees were budding.

It's really spring when people come outside and go insane. I'm expecting that to happen in a big way this weekend as Spring Break starts.
