Not to take away from your post; I've tried to drive this point for a very long time around here.

This been largely ignored and has facilitated in the cultivation and procurement of trolls from the regulars.”

I find nothing in this statement to disagree. What is a temporal issue is the tag along procurement of "watching the puppets dance".

Certain elementary trolls will attempt to "gleefully" point out that they have the ability to "troll by proxy".

Master TTer's notice this BS and easily dismiss it. Some Master TTer's play along to their own enjoyment; thus, to each their own, which is acknowledged and is reciprocated in kind.

Certain trolls have taken advantage of the social dynamic of this board for their own procurement of enjoyment. In turn, the majority of this board has fed these trolls.

It is not the trolls fault. They play, fish and see what they can bring to the surface. This is what the Internet brings.

As I have always said, for almost 7 #&%!$ing years now, if you don't feed them, they will go away.

IMHO, Icetea had a great little ditty that he would post when someone new would come around here. It was basically an "get with our communities rules, or get the #&%!$ out". It was very divisive and exclusive; that was the point. This board did not want to include the types of posters that troll currently.

You had to earn your "stripes" around here. Elitist? Yep. That was the draw because we all used to hike with the people on this board and didn't want any ax murders around.

TT as it was is a dead thing. There will never be anything like it. It's too much work trying to make it like it was, or trying to create something that could be like it.

It would be nice if you could rid the board of these kinds of trolls and their owners. They are dangerous in that they are presenting a "combative" face with one alias, and pretend to be nice with another. People use this site to determine who they can trust to hike with, and somebody like this should not be trusted. For safety reasons, they should be outed, and their owners banned from posting again.
