It was not a happy birthday for Crazy mike yesterday. Sasha passed away. We think it was from a massive stroke, but unless we get an autopsy we will not know and we don't want to do that to her. It was so sudden. Yesterday morning she acted as healthy and happy as normal, eating her breakfast, playing, going outside and doing her normal routine. Short hours later, as I was getting ready to work, getting out of the shower, there she was in the hallway....disoriented, no bowel control, she deteriorated so rapidly that she had soon passed. It was as if everything gave up inside her at once. She had just been to the vet the day before to get her ear drained, other then the ear she was fine. her wounds from her surgery had healed up fine...her blood work had been fine. I just don't understand.

Sasha was a fine dog. If all dogs were like sasha the world would be a lot better off. I wish she could of at least gotten to roll around in warm green grass on a sunny day before leaving. I suppose though, that going as quickly as she did was far better then a lingering illness.

We will miss here. She was loved by everyone in the neighborhood. The kids would come around to walk and play with her. Freya the cat, her best friend, just doesnt know what to do with her self. Neighbors babies could tug and climb all over sasha and she would sit there paitiently enojoying it all.
Part of my morning rutine was to get up and play with her after giving her breakfast. She had a stuffed hedgehog that squeeks. It was the only toy she would really play with so we kept having to buy the same one.

I guess I'm just rambling on by now...forgive me for that. We didn't sleep much. Mike needed me to stay up with him as he was having a hard time.

Rest in peace Sasha Dog

Wow, how shocking. Sorry to hear about that SC and CM. One of my parents' cats died very suddenly the other day, too. They miss him, but were glad that he didn't suffer from some long illness.

thanks everyone--it was a big shock to us

we can't help but to think that she may have lived longer had we not given her that surgery though she had seemed to heal just fine

her tests had all come back ok last month, I just don't understand what would cause her to go like that....

It's tough losing the 4-legged furry family members, sorry for your loss! :(.

Take some solace in the fact that she didn't have a long, lingering painful illness... glad she didn't suffer! :)

I miss my dog :(

She was always close and underfoot and I miss that. Didn't think I would miss that so much but I do. The house jsut seems so lonely without Sasha.
