I have been on the left earlier in my life and was raised by a conservative. My views now are more moderate though there are still some conservative and liberal ideals I believe in. If I was the libbie you say why do I own guns and damn the person who tries to take them from me. Though I have some reservations about the death penalty, I still think some scum deserve it...hardly liberal views. I have many more 'conservative' feelings


I have voted both parties because I vote for the best person not the yellow dog you or my father vote(ed) for. His yellow dog attitude is what makes me look harder at the candidate.

I never...repeat NEVER was a GHWB or GWB man. My Parents happen to know both of them personally, I see the Bush crowd as the typical Moderates who will never really take the lead.

The War in Iraq was not a one note samba. The President DID not unilaterally send troops. He did Consult with Congress, they (and this is important here) DID Vote for the action. Oh and Birch in High School we learned that the Senior Congress members get ALL THE INFORMATION.

This was an action that had been called for since 1991. This was an action the previous President and his CoConspirator had called for (as I have shown in quotes) right up until we went in.

Are we fighting it right? NOPE. I totally disagree with allowing politicians to run a war. But until our people come home I will continue to support their actions.

The reason I commented on the Charleston 9 fire was that I, due to my position reviewed the comments from NFPA, OSHA, and the Fire Services. WELL I disagreed with the comments the firemen should not have gone in.

AT THE TIME (and yes some people are GREAT Monday Morning Quarterbacks) THe Charleston crews thought this was just another run of the mill fire. Things just went real bad real fast.

One thing I did learn years ago (and I NEVER CLAIMED TO BE A VETERAN) is that the people higher up know a HECK of alot more than me.”
