btw i heard that they decided that the one they found couldn't be the actual one he wore, but could have been one of the reserves. This was based on mfg date or something.

The recently foound chute has been positively eliminated as one of the chutes D.B. Cooper may have used. For one thing, the newly found chute was composed of silk fabric. Cooper's chute was nylon. Kind of a slam dunk elimination there.”
