I'm back in the band!

“After a 4 year hiatus, my old lead singer called me up outta the blue and informed me that their keyboard dude was moving away and would I like to join up. I went and say a show here on world famous Dickson St and they sounded pretty OK. Not great but good enough. I got my first gig this weekend, I cna't believe it.
I'm gonna be really rusty because about 6 months ago, while building my 1400 sq foot deck, I hit my ring finger, on my fretting hand, with a 22 oz framing hammer(with the waffle end) and split it wide open all the way around and cracked the bone in 2 places and haven't really played since.

It'll come back quickly though....

I'm a guitar player....the band was a 4 piece, guitar, bass, drums, and keys....the keys dood is movin, so I'm gonna take up the slack, as he played most of the leads...so it'll still be a 4 piece, but were gonna look for a new keyboard guy and make it a 5 piece, cuz keys add so much texture and versitility”

My bass player once nailed his right hand middle and ring finger together with a nailer the day of our CD release party. As always, the show must go on.

“LOL Tilt, some drunk chick kept requesting Stranglehold....I could have pulled it off but the band wouldn't agree.

The gig went great, considering I had no rehersals and I haven't played in a lick in 7 months. I have a bad blister on my finger where the scar tissue is. We have another gig Thursday @ The Green Door.”
