Dude, the trail is likely to be dry. Then again, you could carry a gallon and still be lighter than my over night base weight so why should I care. On second thought, you can carry two liters for me too then! LOL!”

“dude in the gc we carried 2 gals + a weeks food over terrain that was more difficult than two knobstones stacked on top of each other... slower pace but we won't have no stinkin' 40 lb packs. haha! this will be fun. i am stoked now. the only way it could be better is if it rains and it gets as muddy as i know this trail can get.”

“Give me a break stomper. If this is supposed to be one of those he-man adventure races the proper way to do it so that you can brag about it would be to carry your own water. Bragging about how light your pack is when you didn't carry everything to make the journey is sort of hokey IMHO. I guess it's just a matter of opinion but I never could understand why people would go BPing and then race from point A to point B as fast as they could. When you do that it's not hiking or BPing. It's racing the clock.
