“after trying to figure out a way to be two places at once...I couldn't....my daughter is on vacation the week of the 12th and I only get to see her a few times a year, so I am going to spend time with her & her family...
...I have wanted to go to Trail Days for YEARS...maybe next year :(”

That is exactly why the truck hardly leaves the drive. Xa @ 37mpg gets me round trip what it takes the truck just to get me there.”

“Oh wow - I haven't talked with you all in ages, it seems like. I am going to be there with my man, Eric, and will be looking for you all - that is, if we can join you in the TT area camping? We are the Blackburn Trail Center Caretakers this year and are coming with a 2007 Sobo who is flying in from Seattle. We will try to bring down any thru-hikers from the Blackburn if they want to come.”

“We would like to bring some food or something cool for trail magic. Is there anything we can bring that will compliment what you already planned? Is Hyway bringing oysters again? Will there be a TT sign? We are going to bring a Blackburn one - teehee!”

“I'll look into cooking a big pot of chowder this year. I'll have to prep on Wednesday since I'll probably leave for TD's on Thursday. Who else is getting there Thurs?”

“So far the forecast looks good, but doesn't it ALWAYS rain during Trail Daze. What do you guys think about putting up a group tarp so we can sit around at night and get drunk and not get wet? I have couple of tarps and poles I can bring.”

“I got a call from the "shop" day before yesterday. The 24 items I ordered (custom made, mind you) are ready! I'm going to pick them up this afternoon.

If there are more than 24 East Coast Trekkers, there may be trouble. Big trouble.”

“I'm bringing one of those 10x10 easy up shelters, that'll house about 4-7 people with chairs under it in rain.”

“Yeah, I remember his matched my Element, I went out and bought one just like it when I got home, $45. Love it when car camping/rving!”

“Welp, if it's the same place as last year, you go beyond the big open tent area, past the Superfund hazardous waste site and back into the woods. Don't drink the creek water that runs through there ever cuz..well, just trust me on this.

Maybe Fridge or someone else can give you better directions.”

“Trying to decide...do we need my 3000watt generator for anything such as air conditioning a big tent? lol Or we could hook up a pump and build our own shower house from the creek.”

“I just bought a new air mattress. It's very thick and heavy. I'll use a foot pump to blow it up. We're really roughing it, aren't we!”

“I won't get there until Friday evening cause Mr.Govmentmule doesn't get off work until 3:30.We'll be there before dark!”

“I used an air matress there a few years ago and about froze to death, seriously. I had to go to the car and break out the emergency blanket...since then Therm-a-rest all the way!!
