Just put duct tape over your glasses and leave a little teeny slit in the middle.

If you got the cash, there was someone on my recent climb that had prescription lenses put into his glacier glasses. If you're at all interested, I could find out some details.

I don't recall seeing any glacier glasses on Mt. Rainier last summer - everyone wore wrap-around shades. Mine are prescription. After looking for a long time for the perfect prescription sunglasses for physical activities I found them at WalMart.

China lovin' commie! LOL!

I hate shopping for sun glasses. They're all too small. I used to have glacier glasses back in the day when they were kool. Worst things I've ever worn. After two minutes ya couldn't see a damn thing. I'd wear goggles before glaciers.

This may work

You need real glacier glasses. My two pairs are old style - Cébé 2000 & 4000, but wrap rounds are now the most popular - do not confuse them with ordinary sunglasses.

I use mine with contact lenses, but prescription ones can be found. Try Googling Smith Optics.

Good luck.

Crash - here's the response from the guy I went climbing with on his prescription glacier glasses..l

Mike,

There is only one company that I know of that does prescription glacier
glasses. It's called Opticus. They have a website that you can order
from; all you have to do is send them your prescription. There are a
few different options when it comes to lenses, but for the top of the
line lens model the price is around $300 with frames.

Aren't they kind of pointless over regulas sunglasses if you aren't going to spend a lot of time exposed to UV on a regular basis? Well other than looks I guess.

That's my thinking. If conditions are too rough for wrap-around sunglasses you'd be better off with ski goggles.
