Big Sur CA

“Got back from the Ventana Wilderness of CA (Arroyo Seco/ Big Sur) a little over a week ago. Started the Marble Ck Trail from the Arroyo Seco TH / CG off of Monterey County Rd G-16 (from Monterey/Carmel CA to Greenfield). It starts off nice but the map does not show that Indian Road is pretty much closed to car traffic, thus there's a few extra miles of trail. However you are hiking over pools of water until the official TH so it's a pleasant surprise. The first few miles of trail are great but then it starts getting overgrown past Willow Ck CG. Between there and Tan Oak CG, the trail fights back. The views are great though. Check out my photos of Arroyo Seco, Big Sur, and the Golden Gate bridge on my photobucket labelled SWBackpacker.
