Friday Night Camping on the Adena TraceT rail

“Hey all!
I will be arriving early Friday evening (4/18/2008) and camping at one of my favorite camping spots on the west side of the lake. I do not have GPS coordinates, sorry. Basically, it is about an hour south from the trailhead where the Saturday hike starts. Heck, I might even post a map with the rough location on it! If you think you might be interested get back and I will hang a Chemlight and some marker tape where you will have to turn off from the main trail. The Campsite is about 200 yards from there. Just start yelling at the light and I can shout ya in.

Hey Randall,

If you could have gotten Friday off work, it would have been possible for you to join my MNF NCT hike.
You would probably need to drive up on Thurs. night, camping and meeting us at Nichols Lake NFCG on Fri.morning.
This would be approx. 15 miles south from where we will start on Thurs. and the trail then passes though the campground on our continued journey south.

I probably should have made mention of this in my Trip post, so others possibly wanting a shorter weekend hike, could have still joined us.

Sorry for Jack'n your thread, but you had mentioned that you would have possibly joined us, except you couldn't get Thurs. off?
Thanks for your heart-felt reply post to my earlier post asking about Spirit Coyote and the others that signed on for my trip, that never contacted me.

I will post a map with the approximate location of the Friday Night Camping spot. It is on the west side and not Camp Sticks.
I am not sure of the GPS coordinates at all and I am pretty sure that no one I know has ever been to this campsite!

As far as Saturday night goes, I was hoping to camp farther south than the Boneyard!! That's a good name fer that place!! LOL. I guess it all depends!!
The weather is looking kinda crappy.
