Friday night I went on a trip, or maybe it was Saturday morning. Either way it was a experience that needs to be mentioned. Hiking with turkeys is fun.

The turkeys on Cumberland Island will block the trail, and you either have to hike around them or convince them to move. Me and a group of scouts jumping around waving our arms didn't budge them.

I recently heard this story about a man who rode a battle turkey in the country Turkey. It was a very moving story...changed my life.

Spring turkey season is coming up here soon in PA. They are out in full force now chowing down on all the corn left the in the spread cow manure. They get fat so they hide during the season. They have quite an internal clock. Come opening day there won't be a one to be found.
