superfeet
Anyone had issues with their superfeet rubbing the inside of their arch?

I went to the companies website and noticed that they talked about a 'breaking in' period...then I happened upon a thread on whiteblaze that spoke about people having issues with the green superfeet insoles bothering the inside of their arches.

I was just wondering if anyone had this problem as I am trying to decide if I should continue with the "breaking in" period (and thereby continue to make my feet angry) or if I should scrap the blimey things and go back to the factory insoles.

...i never really got a blister from the insoles...it was more like a red rubbed spot that took a day or so to go away after i took my boots off....

'stu - I had that problem once - I just took out the superfeet, used my hand to squeeze the arch of the insole down a little, put them back in and no more problems

sing HOI's method, I re-formed my feet to conform to the superfeet. Once a conformist...

keep wearing them, if you want to wear them in other shoes too.

I just got a new pair of superfeet too, and they feel a little different than what they did on the AT last year. Personally, I think it will take continued use, such as daily wearing or extended hiking, to have your feet conform to them like it states in their User's Guide.

I used SuperFeet for years.

Maybe you do not have "average" feet and need to get custom SuperFeet made?

I had that problem with them in my Basketball Shoes. When I got done playing I could barely walk, so I replaced them with other insoles, and problem solved. I still use Superfeet in my backpacking boots though. I probably have 4 or 5 hundred miles on the pair I am using now.

Nope, I haven't had that problem. I have really flat feet and bought a new pair last summer. I didn't notice a break-in period.

My boots have a contour footbed. The Superfeet insole had a rigid flat base. They were too much of a miss-match to even consider. I sent them back.
