I used to rappel into 160' underground pits and climb back out single rope when I was a caver and not think twice about it, but where I can SEE a 60' cliff drop gives me the willies.

The nice thing about being gimpy is I can say.. "Oh if only I weren't so gimpy" and I don't have to admit to being such a wuss that I nearly tossed my cookies in sheer terror watching the vid on the monitor.

I used to rock climb and go caving a lot, that brought back old memories. I loved it. I won`t lie and say I never was scared to death, I often was, but that`s part of it all and a big part of the reason I did what I did. I fed offa the excitement and near danger. Would I be so foolish as to ever do it again? You bet`cha! What a way to go!LOL

Will I ever be able to do that again? Prolly not, but I can dream, can`t I?

Its nice to be the king.

The walkway was built in the 1920's so that the king of spain could see the water pipes.

Wow. I think my stomach hurts. I wonder how many people lost their lives building that walkway.

lol, what a misrepresentation of the facts. It was built from 1901 to 1905 so that men and material could cross the gorge between the falls. In 1921, the King came to the inauguration of the new dam and crossed the walkway.
