I'm hoping to do some hikes in the adirondacks this summer and I'll only have time for a few. I'm just curious to what everyones favorites are so I can choose from some great hikes. My personal favorite is the trail to Algonquin from adirondack loj. Would love to hear about your all time favorite...adirondacks or catskills!

My favorite ADK hikes are the ones that lumberzac plans. He's ****ing crazy. :D

In the Catskills...Devils Path and the Whittenburg-Cornell-Slide Loop are my faves.

Impossible to pick just one so I won't. Here's some of my favorite in no particular order and of various degrees of difficulty.

Great Range Traverse, from Roostercomb TH to Mount Marcy
Dix Range Traverse starting with East Dix via the Great Slide
Indian Pass Trail
New Russia to Keene Valley going over Rocky Peak Ridge, Giant, and Hopkins Mountain
The Brothers and Big Slide
Lower Tongue Range
Snowy Mountain
Chimney Mountain
Northville-Lake Placid Trail Piseco to Wakely Dam
Northville-Lake Placid Trail Cold River section

I'm sure I forgot some and then there are others I just haven't hiked yet.

Chimney was my first ever adirondack hike and got me hooked. Always said I was going to do Snowy but haven't yet. Any group hikes planned for the dacks this year?

Much thanks to Lumberzac and lilmountaingirl....I can't believe that you two are the only ones here who have favorite trails in the adks or catskills. Gotta be more than that here that have hiked the peaks of this great state of NY.
