“she was awesome! a natural. at one point she repositioned her hands, flagged (i kid you not) with her right foot, tagged a minute bump or rock, and started to roll up over her center of gravity... some people just have a natural feel for that kind of motion and others (like yours truly) have to work hard to learn it.

we are planning a climbing trip in July where we will do some EASY climbing (5.3-5.4) so we can do some trad leading, some top-roping, and rappelling. i have a few good crags scoped out. we can hike in, camp near the crag, and just climb and generally lazy in the sun all day. i want to pick a trad area far away from the clogged sport routes where we won't have to worry about barking dogs, screaming kids, sneering college kids that don't want to wait their turn, and the lines.”
