http://www.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/europe/04/28/austria.cellar/index.html

"Kerstin, 19; Stefan, 18; and Felix, 5, remained locked in the basement with their mother, according to police. None had seen the light of day during their entire time in captivity, she told police"

"What does it say about the neighbors, relatives, family and friends, but also those who had to deal officially with the family? How could he have been successful keeping people fooled?"

"She said her father began sexually abusing her at age 11. On August 8, 1984 -- weeks before she was reported missing -- her father enticed her into the basement, where he drugged her, put her in handcuffs and locked her in a room, she told police. For the next 24 years, she was constantly raped by her father, resulting in the six surviving children, she said, according to the police statement."

Damn.

wierd story ... even weirder is this ...

Mr. F. lived upstairs with his wife, Rosemarie F., who police said had no idea about her husband's other family living in the cellar.

Maybe you don't know that your husband has a few more fishing poles than he claims, but this is ridiculous.

I am still confused about 6 kids being born, 1 twin dying, and 3 living with her in the basement. where are the other 2?

A case like that was reported in Ontario this week-end. A 42 year-old woman was rescued after being held in captivity by her father since 1984 when she was declared missing. Apparently he fathered four children with her. police were acting on a tip.

Makes you wonder.

If I did believe in a hell, it wouldn't be hot enough for these POS's.

How in the hell do you not go anywhere in your own house? What reason does your husband say stay out of the basement, and you (the wife) do it! Sickening!

Luv ya TD!

Apparently the husband was/is an "authoritarian" type of guy....so his word is law. I guess the wife is very afraid of him....

All those kids...the ones locked in the cellar and the ones that were raised above ground are going to have some "mental" problems in life. Their mother also probably... :o(
