Mountain Heardwear Sleeping BAg question
Anyone had any experience with the Mountain Hardwear Ultralamina (32 degree) bag??

It seems like it would be a pretty nice synthetic bag. The womens long weighs 2lbs 2 oz (I know, its heavy!) and its stuffed size is 6.5 by 12 and 1/2 inches.

I checked the specs on my Marmot Helium down bag, and though its under 2lbs in weight its stuffed size is 7 by 14 inches.

Soooo the Ultralamina stuffs down pretty well it seems so I'm just wondering if anyones used it and what they think. Do you trust is temp. rating etc.

Did I hear correctly that Mountain Hardware was acquired by Columbia Sports Outdoor division? If so all bets may be out the window.

Columbia Sportsware, to my understanding, does not have the finest reputation. They may be marketing the name as opposed to the quality MH has been known for if I heard that correctly.

MH was sold to Columbia 5-6 years ago. BUT, MH still designs their products and operate independently of Columbia.

IMO, there hasn't been a change in the quality of MH products since they decided to sell.

Maybe the testers used a trash compactor?

probly something along the line of me being able to get my 15 degree synth bag into a stuff sack the size of my wallet. I might be able to do it... if I had the mechanical advantage.
I've tried making some DIY compression caps for me underquilt stuff sack. It was a disaster.......

Making specs compete isn't the most honest of science as Rev is hinting.
