Donations Needed “ My hiking buddy Jim is participating in Summit for Someone. A program put on by the 501(c)3 organization Big City Mountaineers which is the country's leading non-profit volunteer organization in providing wilderness mentoring programs for underprivileged urban youth. He will have a both set up with Backpackers Magazine at Trail Days in Damascus Virginia. We will be raffling off tickets for backpacking gear to raise money for the urban youth that Big City Mountaineers server. If you are going to Trail Days this year stop by the Backpackers Magazine tent and buys some raffle tickets. We are also looking for any kind of backpacking or camping donations. All items must be in good usable shape and are needing anything from a sleeping pads to a canoes or Kayaks. If you plane on bring some items please post what you have here. The winners will be drawn the afternoon of the 18th and 100% of the funds will got to help the urban youth.
