IS there a trail?I have the craco map and the falls area is marked. I am okay with it.Is it that tough to follow the creek? We may encounter others arriving later? Worse case will be we will camp out if I cant find you. However with 22 persons I will most likly see /hear you from the road.

The trail is an old road bed which is grown up in places but it isn't really hard to follow (only been here once and it was during the day). There is one drainage from the left I recall that the road winds around before coming back to Brushy and I believe you can bypass this by just dropping straight down and back up the other side to save yourself a few hundred yards going up the side drain and back out. If ever in doubt, just stay with Brushy Creek and you should be fine. There may be places where the way skirts the edge of a drop so be careful. As we are well over a mile from the road and in the canyons, I'm skeptical that you would be able to hear us from the road no matter how loud.

I'm not aware of anyone planning to do that but based on when I was up there a few weeks ago, there are blue flags at least part of the way.

Good luck with that! Someone was suppossed to put glow sticks out last time Chili and I were there...and you all know how that turned out.

At this point, Chili and I are on the "not going to make it" list. He will more than likely have to make some sales calls Saturday morning. So we will probably stick to Nashville and maybe catch a hockey game Sat. nite...

I don't recall anything specifically "dangerous" other than an occassional sinkhole or steep embankment on the right down to the creek . There's sufficient walking room...just watch where you are putting your feet.

Last time I was there, they had buffalo burgers. There used to be a small glass top freezer near the door that had frozen buffalo steaks. Needless to say I had buffalo steak one night in Sipsey!

question....
...can I use the spray water proof stuff to waterproof my nylon water bag/bucket??
divinity

Well, you would almost need to spray the inside and that could alter the taste. OR you could use a plastic bag and just line it.
