Duncan Ridge/Coosa Bald

“I am thinking of planning a 4-night hike in North Georgia, starting from Neels Gap and finishing on Springer. While the AT is certainly an option to consider, I was also thinking of an alternate route. If I leave the AT at Blood Mountain and hike the Duncan Ridge and Benton MacKaye Trails to Long Creek, what would my total distance from Neels Gap to Springer be?

Second question - if I hike the AT, but take a side trip out to Coosa Bald (and back), how far is that?
