But yet, they'll gnash their teeth over risible claims of Bush killing "millions" in Iraq. It's really very telling of their personal character.” 6:44:32 AM 8/12/08 “Exactly how did this whole invasion start anyhow? I was out of town and out of my mind when it started.” 9:33:18 AM 8/12/08 “Same here---I was in Canada of all places. I'm not sure, but I think Bush started it.” 9:35:45 AM 8/12/08 “Proper socialist thought means there are no innocent civilians. last edited: 8/12/08 10:20:42 AM” 10:20:11 AM 8/12/08 “Go Dogs” 10:20:50 AM 8/12/08 “I heard McCain started it.” 11:10:02 AM 8/12/08 “ ”8:20:33 PM 8/12/08 “Endorsement From The Communist Party USA for Obama http://www.cpusa.org/article/articleview/975/1/147/ No wonder Tilt and Violin are for Russia. last edited: 8/12/08 9:00:17 PM” 8:59:46 PM 8/12/08 “You can see them trying to set up Ukarine now too. - Mutt Mutt Right Again!!! `Russia may find it convenient to raise the level of tension with Ukraine in the run-up to the December NATO review,'' Citigroup Inc.'s London-based David Lubin and Ali Al- Eyd wrote in a note to clients. ``If the conflict with Russia decelerates or reverses Georgia's integration with the West, a similar fate could also affect Ukraine.'' Divided Country Ukraine has a large Russian-speaking population in the south and east that opposes NATO entry and looks to Moscow. Russian officials warn that if President Viktor Yushchenko pushes Ukraine into NATO, the nation may split in two. Russia has made its displeasure with Ukraine clear in recent years, cutting off gas supplies to the country in 2005 and reducing deliveries earlier this year. The military operation in Georgia will serve ``as a warning'' to Ukraine that it should desist from petitioning for NATO entry, said Janusz Bugajski, director of the New European Democracies Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. ``Otherwise, Moscow may intervene to protect the allegedly threatened interests of the Russian population.'' The Russians are national socialists now, and they're using Hitler's playbook.” 6:28:18 AM 8/13/08 “The Cold War is Back On: U.S. tests unarmed Minuteman 3 intercontinental ballistic missile 2 hours ago VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. — The U.S. air force says it has successfully tested an unarmed Minuteman 3 intercontinental ballistic missile The ICBM was launched at 1:01 a.m. from a base in California today. Its three unarmed re-entry vehicles travelled about 6,800 kilometres over the Pacific Ocean to targets near the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. The missile was launched under the direction of the 576th Flight Test Squadron. The air force says squadron members installed tracking and command destruct systems on it to collect data and meet safety requirements.” 7:49:31 AM 8/13/08 “Ah, and it looks like Bush is going to have more stern words for Russia at noon EST.” 7:53:59 AM 8/13/08 “My gawd, letting Bush handle this at this time is like giving the most important company project to the guy who just gave his two week notice.” 8:44:00 AM 8/13/08 “Sending Condi to France and humanitarian aid to Georgia. No threats, no sanctions. What a pu$$y. I hope we're at least giving/selling Ukraine slamraams other assorted goodies to make a Russian incursion too costly, though Russia probably doesn't even need to do it to split the country.” 9:49:23 AM 8/13/08 “I take it you think we should invade Russia now mutt? Let's hear how that would play out, Mr. foreign policy expert.” 7:06:00 PM 8/13/08 “mutt would send in a bunch of scarecrows?” 7:13:32 PM 8/13/08 “It's a lot better than Violin's plan where we simply blow Russia and then they ignore us.” 2:16:50 AM 8/14/08 “Invade Russia? No, don't be ridiculous. I would have liked to see a meaningful US force tripwire in control of airports, ports and other strategic assets. Do this to prevent Russia from physically installing a puppet government. Get Georgia into NATO ASAP. Show Ukraine et al the US is not chickensh*t like the rest of the Europeans. Sell/give them a metric buttload of anti-aircraft and anti-tank weaponry and the training to use it to maximum effect. Vigorously expand missile defense. Meanwhile, slap sanctions on Russia and all that jazz. Also, cut socialist spending and pump defense spending up over 30% of the budget. Start expanding our military back to Cold War size. Weaponize space, huge increases in tech R&D. Of course that's not going to happen. The US needs Russia more than Russia needs the US. The US can't have Russia giving Iran real air defense systems. The US can't have Russia meddling in Afghanistan. Sanctions won't hurt Russia much at all, nor will they pass. Germany yesterday surrendered to Russia and will block - again - Georgia's entry into NATO. Europeans are only concerned about getting enough heating oil for the winter and will gladly bend over for Putin. And Russia knows that Barack Obama will likely be the next president. With that comes further military decline and cuts in next-gen programs, no backbone to confront threats, reckless abandonment of American interests overseas, loss of progress in Iraq/A-stan, loss of face, and who knows what else. Putin knows he will be able to push Obama around, and sadly so does everyone else. Germany is just an early acknowledger. The future seems bleak right now. Another 70's style "malaise" is upon us, as is another Carter.” 5:13:18 AM 8/14/08 “Speaking of malaise, we need to Whip up a Miracle. - salebored” 5:24:27 AM 8/14/08 “So, using a BaracKaid won't keep the Bear out of our food?” 5:26:05 AM 8/14/08 “You worry about sovereign borders, but leave the international corporate canofbills lobbyist unbounded.” 6:09:37 AM 8/14/08 “wait, I am confused. cookiemonster is salebored? why the name chage, salebored get the boot? or is salebored = cookiemonster =sarge?” 6:52:42 AM 8/14/08 “Nono, my top chevron faded from my shoulder into the babtismic waters long ago.” 7:21:44 AM 8/14/08 “ ”7:52:50 AM 8/14/08 “I am cookiemonster. Beware my lethal hands of death. Allow me to parachute into Russia, and I would singlehandedly wipe the Red Army from the face of the planet. I am very good at wiping with my hands.” 8:44:14 AM 8/14/08 “I was looking for Stratfor's take on this and found this Pravda website: http://english.pravda.ru/world/ussr/11-08-2008/106054-georgia_usa-0 Here's Stratfor's. Landay Pentagon officials said that despite having 130 trainers assigned to Georgia, they had no advance notice of Georgia's sudden move last Thursday to send thousands of Georgian troops into South Ossetia to capture that province's capital, Tskhinvali. Not only did the U.S. troops working alongside their Georgian counterparts not see any signs of an impending invasion, Georgian officials did not notify the U.S. military before the incursion, a senior U.S. defense official told McClatchy. "We knew they were going to go crack heads. We told them again and again not to do this," the State Department official said. "We thought we had an understanding with the Russians that any response would be South Ossetia-focused. Clearly it's not." And as to why we didn't see the tanks while they were still in Russia: U.S. "national technical means," the official name for spy satellites and other technology, are "pretty well consumed by Iraq, Afghanistan and now Pakistan," the official said, and there was only limited monitoring of Russian military movements toward the Georgian border.” 9:29:07 AM 8/14/08 “How many posts did it take before it became the US's fault, lol? A little late to the party, cocky. So.....if cookiemonster really likes to eat cookies.............” 9:35:00 AM 8/14/08 “LOL!!” 9:47:45 AM 8/14/08 “Actually, this is all Obama's fault. Might as well blame him now in case he gets into the White House” 9:51:58 AM 8/14/08 “Watch urself, mr. nonconformist. My hands are registered as lethal weapons. I have a triple blackbelt in sumyungguy and specialize in the chickenchoke hold and the whippingthebishop maneuver. I could easily take you down in two strokes.” 9:54:12 AM 8/14/08 “wait I thought it was wounded knees fault? or zac's” 9:56:43 AM 8/14/08 “Well, I guess it could partially be both of our faults. If Zac would stop getting his hookers from Georgia, Russia would not get jealous.” 9:58:59 AM 8/14/08 “lmao” 10:03:19 AM 8/14/08 “I thought Russia was jealous of WK, because he keep proposing marriage to those hookers from Georgia. They slept with you because you paid them. Not because they're in love with you.” 10:09:32 AM 8/14/08 “That is why I am involved. They all think I am James Bond, you know...From Russia with Love.” 10:11:59 AM 8/14/08 “Is that why you show up dressed in drag? To make them think you're under cover.” 10:14:09 AM 8/14/08 “So what happened. Did Billy Sherman come back to life or what?” 11:46:42 AM 8/14/08 “Zac....ssssshhhhhhhh!” 12:05:43 PM 8/14/08 “The best parts of this entire story are the friggin' hilarious offerings provided by the left-wing bloggers at the end. What a scream! I L'd My AO at most of them! Georgian president to McCain: Move 'from words to deeds' http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2008/08/13/georgian-president-to-mccain-move-from-words-to-deeds/” 2:01:57 PM 8/14/08 “crap, y2 was right! It IS the Republican's fault!! http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/europe/article4535173.ece” 6:17:31 PM 8/14/08 “Wow, the Soviet press sounds just like the media in the US.” 3:52:25 AM 8/15/08 “This is too good To some, China's muscular domination of the Olympic medal table is a powerful allegory of the shifting balance of global power. A far better and more literal testimony to the collapse of the West may be seen in the distinctly weak-kneed response to Russian aggression in Georgia by what is still amusingly called the transatlantic alliance. Once again, the Europeans, and their friends in the pusillanimous wing of the US Left, have demonstrated that, when it come to those postmodern Olympian sports of synchronized self-loathing, team hand-wringing and lightweight posturing, they know how to sweep gold, silver and bronze. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() There's a routine now whenever some unspeakable act of aggression is visited upon us or our allies by murderous fanatics or authoritarian regimes. While the enemy takes a victory lap, we compete in a shameful medley relay of apologetics, defeatism and surrender. ![]() The initial reaction is almost always self-blame and an expression of sympathetic explanation for the aggressor's actions. In the Russian case this week, the conventional wisdom is that Moscow was provoked by the hot-headed President Saakashvili of Georgia. It was really all his fault, we are told. [snip to end] It's funny because it's true. I immediately thought of guido, Tilt, Y2, jimmysan...” 5:18:36 AM 8/15/08 “Soviet? Didn't that country fall about 17 years ago?” 5:20:00 AM 8/15/08 “Wars for debt are our best bet.” 7:07:43 AM 8/15/08 “Who says, "crime doesn't pay"?” 7:58:42 AM 8/15/08 “It's funny because it's true. I immediately thought of guido, Tilt, Y2, jimmysan...” Mutt 5:18:36 AM 8/15/08 It's disturbing we're so forward in your thoughts. You read a peice that goes with your mastubratory soldier fantasies and think of us. Some help needed there maybe. (Maybe Sargie will give you a hand there). It's also entertaining that you when you boys are unable to grasp an issue you like to imagine what the 'lefties' are saying. I guess reality is never high on the agneda for the wackos.” 7:59:46 AM 8/15/08 ““Who says, "crime doesn't pay"?” Relative to our stand point- it takes and takes and and takes.” 8:22:06 AM 8/15/08 “More (not) personal insults By y2. So innocent ... y2, it's you who resort to that. Wake up Brittney.” 8:35:56 AM 8/15/08 “ When people don't bother to read his posts anymore, he has to imagine what they might say.... ? wow. ” 9:06:08 AM 8/15/08 “"You read a peice that goes with your mastubratory soldier fantasies and think of us." Yup, the guy gets affirmation from re-hashed reactionary propaganda. This is so laughable it could have been written by Limbaugh himself or perhaps his staff of comedy writers..... "There's a routine now whenever some unspeakable act of aggression is visited upon us or our allies by murderous fanatics or authoritarian regimes. While the enemy takes a victory lap, we compete in a shameful medley relay of apologetics, defeatism and surrender."” 9:07:50 AM 8/15/08
