crash, are you serious about possibly going on this? i might have to fly in/rent a car. the drive time woud put it out of reach for this working man given what i want to do with the rest of my vaca time this year.

I love turkey day.

I miss my dad and his crazy azz burn down the patio deep fried turkeys.

I will want to see where crash sits on this trip fridge. He has scared the crap outta me in terms of hikin with you and I aint going on no suicide mission without my wingman.

I will have to see about time off then. There is no way to do this in a weekend facing an 11 hour drive each way. I wonder what the nearest airport is. Dulles perhaps. Could still be a long drive.

i can fly into charleston for about 200 bucks from o'hare. lots of seats and i can pay with airline miles. i'll have to be back to work on Monday. i'll have to get flight clearance with the spousal authority. i am still paying off the trip to the UP a few weeks ago.

i had to work on columbus day (a company holiday) so i got to swap the holiday i worked for one of the vaca days i took to go to the UP. sweet deal since i had no great celebration planned for columbus day.

Man compared to what I'm looking at, that looks down right balmy..

We're heading up to Crabtree Falls Meadows Friday, before taking the easy way to the Priest on Saturday.... We are looking at single digits Friday nights from what I can tell...

Fridge I may be out of the Dolly Sods trip! My boss is going to Wisconsin on a hunting trip next week and I may have to work next Friday to fill an order for our biggest customer which is working the entire weekend. I already have to work this Saturday which I never have to do! I'll know more tomorrow!

Directions; Take I 77 to exit 52 Bland. Take rt 52 North through Bland and stay on Rt 52. Take rt 612 following Kimberling Creek for several miles. Take forest service rd 281 on your left at the fork of 612 and 281. Follow 281 to the end. We will camp here friday night.
I will be driving a Dark Blue NISSAN TRUCK......Camped near the road.

Well If it keeps this up you might get to use your snow shoes Fridge. I did not get done at the church until 8:30pm so I'll be packing when I get home from work I will not get in until About 11:00 pm so keep the coals warm LOL I will sleep in my truck tonight I will call you when I get on the road

Made it back. I am not one for trip reports. We saw steep, snow covered over grown hills. We climbed steep, snow covered over grown hills. We came back and had great time. It was great to meet you Lonewolf. (bummer about the truck, the duct tape looks good) Fridge, always fun to hike with you. You are a world full of knowledge for a slow Southern boy. Let's talk about Greenland.

Well I made it home with out any more damage to my truck.Use 101 for that Duct Tape on your Nalgene bottles Hold your tail light in after you slide of an icey road and hit a tree Haha Well any way Bigpoppa great meeting you Fridge see you soon I'm not good at trip reports But I will say that was a lot of bear sign. Plus the beauty in that place was grand Not a lot of people every where
