I think there's a VERY strong connection there between Chelsea Clinton, drunkeness, and her getting knocked up, but I'm just not seeing it.”

The whole daughter having a child thing scares me to. Yes the media is blowing it way out of proportion, however they need to stop having reporters ask the stupid people at the convention what they think if it. It is great that she is choosing to have the child, however these people make it sound like it is no big deal. I have seen first hand what happens when KIDS have children and try to get married. It doesn't work out and 13 years later when the baby is a young woman, all kinda problems surface. The parents hate each other and use the kid and a pawn in an ugly split up.

That is what makes me sick. The kid will go unloved and be screwed up for life because the mother doesn't have an abortion or put the kid up for adoption.”

“My best friend in hs got his gf pregnant about the time we graduated. They got married, had the child, and went on to have 2 more. He and his wife graduated from college. She's a hs english teacher and he's a head football coach at a hs in the same area. Their daughter graduates this year. Mom and dad are still together and from all I know happy as can be.

There are success stories in those circumstances. I agree that the deck is substantially stacked against them. If the "typical" situation has a 50% failure rate, I wonder what the teen rate works out to be? I haven't a clue, but know more than one other situation that is working well like the one I mentioned above.”
