naked ape - I haven't heard from Mel in a few years. Last time we exchanged email she was in So Cal living with her cousin while settling some personal issues. Then after that I talked to someone who saw her in the Sierras. I think she got rid of the Llamas.

The first two Llama trips were fine. We went in a set up a base camp and then did a lot of day hikes and fishing. Then after that the llama trips got more complicated and were semi-disasters. People quit signing up.

I would guess that Mel is either living at her old place near Mammoth or in Bishop. I should try and contact her to see how she is doing. I think a few people here are keeping in touch with her.

T/y Phil, them days seem like so long ago, hehe. I didn't know the llama trips had turned sour. I knew one of them had some serious problems, but I'd thought it was an isolated thang.

If you need me to do anything let me know.. Its your trip and I don't want to step on you boots, but I'll help you when/where you would like me to.

Also, might be good to post a tentative trip itinary, that way we can get the messages relating to this trip in one place.

We can talk about who is flying into where and save on car rentals... Might even be able to shuttle ourselves and save on that expense...

D@mn I'm already stoked for this one...

I think my wife has given me the OK. I just have to make sure the other guys at work don't have a problem with it. I will try and get as much info from Jimh and Marta as I can this weekend.
