“It will be a basecamping trip and there isn't any bushwacking planned nor recomended. The Gorge doen't really have any EASY hikes.Most any dayhike we do will range anywhere from "Dificult" to "A$$ Kicking"! But the Gorge is an absolutly Beautiful Place!

The reason for the "Basecamp" is that the availability of firewood in the Gorge is very low because it is such a popular place in the Summer months.The temps can be hard to guage also. We've had temps from 0 to mid 60's over the last 9 years and last year was "COLD"! Last year was the first time we basecamped and it turned out to be a great idea.”

“Yeah last year was cold on sunday morning but the water bottle idea yall gave me worked like a charm and kept me warm even in a 15 degree bag. I will pring better food this time and a bigger tent. And hopefully the wife.”

The campsite will be on the right hand side of the road just past the Cabin Trail.You and Zeus are welcome!! Come on down. I won't be bringin that big scary dog with me so Zeus won't be skeerd!!! LOL!”

“the campe site spam showed me the other day is 2.2 miles on the rt from 183.u will have to go up those steep curves.today theres 3 inches if snow on the ground.probably be 60 in january”
