Took my niece and nephew with some friends to Woodbourne Forest for a hike. The kids enjoyed it, particularly crossing the creek on a log and the boardwalk.

Woodbourne Forest is the first preserve owned by the Nature Conservancy in PA, it has old growth forests, streams, huge stone walls, and about 7 miles of trails. The trails are easy and good for kids. For birdwatchers, there are over 200 species documented.

Nice, last time I could remember being there was about 1996. I remember lots of old growth hemlocks and at that time I don't think they allowed you to go over to the pond unless you were part of a guided tour.
