Thanksgiving on the AFT

“Plan to hike the entire 40 mile loop in less than 2.5 days during the weekend after Thanksgiving. Nice trail, not very hard, lots of streams, some views, bogs, and rhododendron jungles. Good camping.

“I am a maybe. I need to look at the map but here is my dillema.. I will be in Allentown PA with my kids for Thanksgiving, so after the hike on Sunday i will have to drive back there, pick them up and then head to Richmond..

I am thinking about possibly starting to hike earlier on Friday (mid mornign), meet up with you guys friday night, hike with you on Saturday and then have a shorter day Sunday so I can get out of there...
