$20 for 2 people. If you have 4 peeps in the car it will be $30. Its not that the price is high, its that up till last year or maybe the year before, camping was free and parking only cost $10

...are there porta potties?...what about showers???
divinity

3/03/09

Lotsa porta potties and they do have showers. The men's shower room has 2 maybe 3 showers, not sure about the women's room, so be prepared to stand in line. I usually go in the middle of the night, less waiting and more hot water.

Bucky Katt, yes, I think it starts on Thursday, but many people don't get there until Friday. I am going to try to get there Thursday night, or Friday morning. Depends on my job situation.

You can park on the street (in some places) or in the campground parking area (see map).

There are showers available. Your best bet is to take a shower at night, or in the morning before all the hungover people (...not me of course) wake up.

Oh, and bring showers shoes, cuz there is some nasty juju in those showers.

I haven't decided what I am going to do yet, but I have already done the hike to the state line twice. I think windgirl has a hike planned into Damascus though.

The only hiking that suits trail days in back and forth to town. Before or after is good for hiking if you have the time. There is usually a short dayhike planned by Golite.

Just bring you some car camping gear, (tent, sleeping bag etc.) a cooler of whatever you want to eat or drink, a lounge chair, a little money and an appetite.

TTer sign
Is anyone going to make a TRAIL TALK sign to put at the campsite? That would make it easier for some of us to find the right spot, especially if we get there late at night.

the water battle is a must to attend, but many people do stay out of it. Just don't stand next to anyone with a water gun
