I just looked at the pics from the last two years of Trail Days. I'm stoked! I'm ready to go. I'm trying to talk my old man into it. I don't know.....”

“Are we gonna be able to park where we camp? And where will be camping at?”

“No but you may be able to get fairly close...depends on when you come in and if we get last years spot or not. If we are at year before last location the cars are a good ways off!”

“Fridge, Dub, others, contact me through the Damascus Town Hall or just show up early. I will mark out your space Monday a.m., but some of you might need to enforce that. We have people wanting to set up very early and will probably run off most of them. Tuesday night the campground is open for volunteers. Everyone else Thursday a.m.”

“I wanted to see if someone could give stomper, my daughter and me a ride back to the Kincora Hiking Hostel on Friday when we get into Damascus? We will be hiking in either Thursday night or Friday morning.”

“About what area will y'all be in?”

“Wherever the TT'ers are going to be. We are hiking into Damascus from Laural Falls. We are leaving our car at the hostel and will need a ride back to it to pick it up.”

“Bad news everyone, acbabe and I will not be able to make it this year. Acbabe was riding her bike on monday and crashed into a ditch. She landed on her right shoulder and fractured her upper arm bone. She had to have non-invasive surgery monday night to set it back in place and has to wear a sling for at least a month 24/7. She is in pain but has some meds to help her. So camping is out for a long while. Hope yall have fun and hopefully we can make it next year.”

Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that. Just for the record, this isn't really camping. Oh sure we have tents, but I don't ever remember seeing anyone (in our group) sitting on the ground, lugging around a backpack, cooking over a pocket rocket camp stove, or tripping over something because it was dark (lanterns baby). Shuttles run to and from the town. Plenty of porto-potties. Plenty of food will be available both at our campsite and in restaurants inn town. And some people have even been known to sleep in hotels 9 miles away.

This isn't a rugged weekend.”

“I just got an offer to spend some time in Brunswick county the weekend of traildays.”

“Last year's group spot was great. I will be camping back in the woods somewhere in the quiet area.
