Went for a hike yesterday, decided to visit a place I haven't in several years- Scar Run. This hidden stream has many waterfalls and cascades, and is very scenic. A blazed trail descends the glen, but stays away from the creek. I decided to string together a series of trails and old grades to form a loop. I thought there would be a lot of bushwhacking too, but surprisingly, almost the entire hike was comprised of blazed trails or grades.

With all the rain, the creek was running pretty well, but not too high. It is very scenic, with many falls and nonstop cascades over boulders. The glen was really closed in places, and moss covered the rocks and ledges. Had a great hike to a little known place.

Nice pictures Jmitch, Scar Run looks like a nice place to hike. I've never hiked down that stream.
