“I've been seriously thinking about this hike but it looks like I may be doing a different hike - the company is letting me go early so instead of retiring 1 July I will be out on the 16th of March - seriously considering hiking the AT NOBO beginning late March”

“Meet at Forks Cranberry Trail #245 along scenic route 150 on FRIDAY the 22nd... evening and camp in some 1/2 mile in at a open meadow on the left. Saturday begin our trek along the top of Black Mountain for 5 miles to Cranberry River. Here we can eat lunch at a shelter along the river. Continue our trek on FR 102 to Tumbling Rock shelter and Trail Head #214 2 miles. We will camp just up this trail approx .2 mile. Sunday continue up Tumbling Rock trail #214 2.6 miles to North South Trail #688.”

“Hey I checked out the directions to your place guess I'll brave I95 south to the beltway.

How long will it take to get from your place to Cranberry?

Might be best to wait til after the morning rush?”

“I'm not sure where you're coming from but I-78 to Harrisburg to I-83 south to the beltway might avoid the hell of I-95 even if it is abit farther.
I live about three miles from I-83 & I-695.

Cranberry is about 300 miles..............”
