Just posted a January trip on the A.T. near Harrisburg. Had a great time last year nearby so why not try again?

Probably, e-mail me your cell number (I think you've got my e-mail). Of course we're coming in in the dark on Fri since the other potential participants are Philly area folx.

We had a great time. My Father at age 70 summited Aconcagua.

I am still 0-2 on it though. Last year we were cut short by my fathers lung congestion, this year I could not get doctor clearance past base camp due to low blood oxygen concentration. You need a 80% or better. I was 71%. So even after climbing an 18,000 foot mountain and 3 14,000 footers, over 6 days, I did not acclimate well.

Oddly I felt better this year than I did last. B was cleared but wanted to stick with me so we left my father up there with the guide and we headed back to town 4 days early.

I'll have pics by the weekend posted on my site.

Is Aconcagua in Patagonia? I'm geographically confused. I heard that Dakar moved there too. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_Dakar_Rally

I think Patagonia is further south from what our locals told us. Aconcagua is about 200 KM west of Mendoza very near the Chile boarder. In fact Chile tried to claim Aconcagua as a mountain that was in Chile. It did not work.

Great shots as always, I can just smell the elevation acclimation in the first few!

What is the object behind B in shot #170?

(And, how come we're talking about Aconcagua in this thread, and about this trip on the other side??)

That is an old Boiler they used at the Olive farm to boil the olive oil from what they said.

(Not sure I guess We are off topic)

B and I will be off Friday so we can arrive earlier to where ever we need to be by the way.

I'm figuring the meeting point can be the same Hardee's we met at before, no earlier than 5 p.m. on Fri. I think FF77 might be coming but not sure of his timing. He didn't say anything about his brother.
