“I got 3 last week, 2 in Mt. Rogers NRA, and one in a campground the night before rafting the upper Gauley. Campgrounds count, right?

I also had one in Cranberry Wilderness a couple weeks ago, and one in Red River Gorge a couple weeks before that.

I had a couple in a campground in Rocky Mountain National Park back in June.

So, that's about 7 for the year. All in all, it's not been a great year, but I've got some things planned over the next couple of months.”

1- Wednesday, Sept. 2: Black Hills National Forest remote spot near canyon with rock art, north of Edgemont, SD
2- Thursday, Sept. 3 and Saturday, Sept. 5: Wind Cave National Park campground (tent also up there Sept. 4 but none of our group stayed there... see next entry)
1- Friday, Sept. 4: Backpacking in the backcountry of Wind Cave National Park
1- Sunday, Sept. 6: Sage Creek primitive campground, Badlands National Park
