I think I had 6 for 09. I will wind up with 8 or 9 for the year. That is just sad.

day, it is not sad.
sometimes it is not about HOW often you get out, but just the fact that you have gotten out!

as I said before, I do not get out as often as i would like to. but the trips I have done solo and with some people here on TT have made for some amazing memories!

OK, just to finish this off...

32 bag nights to date in 2009 at last tally

Now I can't tell you tell you the dates, but I had one bag night at Nelson-Dewey State Park, Cassville, Wis..... and my final bag night at Pikes Peak State Park, McGregor, IA...

34 BAG NIGHTS TOTAL IN 2009

Lizs, that is awesome. I would say, true backcountry bag nights will end with a grand, whopping total of: 8.

If I factored in car camping, it would be more like: 15

44 which isn't bad considering I couldn't hike for 2 months and had to cancel a trip because of snow.

well, the scene takes the picture... I know how stupid taht sounds, but I`ll just be walking around on a hike, go "wow," point, click, and walk on. I admit that it`s a real nice camera for a cheapo point and shoot though.

I think its more or less an older version of this one:

I think I got a whopping 6. So disappointing. Next year will be no better most likely.

Unless I sleep out tonight (and I won't), I should finish with my second consecutive zero. Next year should amount to 210 at a minimum.

14 in Wyoming on my NOLS trip in January.
2 in New Hampshire in September.

I had another bag night in Switzerland, but since I stayed in an bivouac the debate is whether it counts or not as a true bag night.

26, but I always count car camping and I'd definitely count a Swiss bivy. Hopefully more next year.

Okay Euro, you win. It's a bag night. However, since it is easily more substantial than my old farmhouse, I now have 365 bag nights:)

Plan on getting out and camping 2010. 2009 car camping some. Plan on being at that linville trip and meeting several experienced people.

I suck, the only ones I got were in Alaska and I think that was 5...but since Alaska miles are x3 normal miles I think the bag nights should count x3 too...so put me down for 15.

I had 9 bag nights last year. I had such high hopes for more, but for various reasons I couldn't make a few that I really wanted to do.

I did get to do the freeze your ass of art Mt Rodgers in February (3 nights in what turned out to be gale force winds).

3 nights at trail days.

3 nights at Hammocks Beach State Park over labor day weekend.

I don't think there were any others, but my mind is going, there may have been.

Zero bag nights for me during 2009. It's not easy getting old.

Dub - For Alaska it all depends upon the time of the year. Long winter nights count more and short summer nights count much less. Assumming you were there during the summer, you can only have 2 bagnights for your 5 nights!

LOL.

20 nights for me...
